Talking of Mexican waves, does anyone remember a game in the late 90s (can't remember the season) when they tried to break the world record for a duration of a Mexican wave at Goodison? I think about 3 people took part if I remember correctly.

I'm ashamed to say i accompanied a mate of mine to Old Trafford for the Champions League match against Leverkusen, didn't pay for a ticket obviously. But it's very true about OT being quiet, shockingly so in fact, except for 1 bell sitting at the rear of the Stretford End shouting "5 more!" throughout the game

I was impressed with the spurs fans last week. Certainly showed our lot up.
They took over Goodison, while we just sat, silent.

I was at the back of lower Gwladys and I didn't hear them at all until the last 15 minutes. Funny ground GP in that depending on where you're sat yourself you can't always hear other parts of the ground.

Angry Goodison is the best.

I love looking around and watching people go absolutely berserk, especially when we're past the point of people's kick offs making any sort of sense.

I worry about how Martinez will react to his first Goodison booing. One of the keys to Moyes' longevity was his ability to take abuse from the fans in his stride.

Judging by recent years, maybe we should start being nicer, cos being hostile is getting us [Poor language removed] all from refs.

I miss the old fashioned refs who use to favour the home side every week - at least you knew where you stood!

We should start 2 mexican waves going opposite ways around the ground both meeting at the away fans at the same time, then we just all spit at them as the wave crashes on them for realism.
