Half a Million net spend? That bad?

How many of the top say 10 clubs in britain would have anything like that....

Spurs spend about 50m every year. The [Poor language removed] spend about the same. Villa,Utd,Chelsea etc all spend without makeing much back.

(yes dont tell me about Alonso,Ronaldo,Adebyor)!! You get what i mean.

Villa, the RS, and Spurs do there fair share of wheeling, dealing and selling.

Spurs sold Robbie Keane and Berbatov for about £50million. The RS sold Crouch, Keane (back to spurs cos I think they owed Spurs money), Alonso, Dosenna, etc - they only bought Johnson at that high price because Pompy owed them cash (that and the Dosenna selling meant they only spent 9mill or so on Johnson).

I'm going to bed now as I have to work in the morning.

But think about this. We can have 5 or 6 players on the bench who could all play in the Premier League, but they need to be the right player, at the right price with the right temperament to fit into our team.

We are not going to buy players like other clubs do just to build up the squad. They are all supposed to be there to improve the team.

We do need players, and we need them now. I'm positive that we will sign the right players.

But what they need is that special key element that allows us as a club to continue to push on as we have done since Moyes came in.

We all get upset about stuff, me included, but we need to stick together as a unit and look to the future. Moyes has some talent in the wings, we are going to be a force again.

We just need to now be kipper-esque with our thoughts.

Night night.

We'll sign someone tomorrow, I can feel it.

It's either going to be bloody excellent or ******* awful, I can't wait.

We won't sign anyone til at least Wednesday, there's no way we can conduct an entire transfer in 24 hours unless it's a you-know-who situation.

I think if we get 1 or 2 in by the end of next week (centre half most definately and a winger or Banega) that's half the battle won.

Then hopefully a couple more by the end of the transfer window.

Ever Banega's almost done mate. Just a few things to sort out according to Dave Moyes.

If we atleast get someone on Merseyside having a medical I'll be made up.

Well yeah because that means they have basically signed.

Bear in mind deals were pretty much completed for Naughton and Senderos and neither has actually happened.

We cant agree a fee with Senderos and Arsenal. Arry the Snake robbed Naughton from us...

He got 4 minutes of play for Spurs today by the way. Good lad.

makes me laff.. its taken months to finally have a rumoured bid of 9 million for that winger and a permit for that valencia guy.. for moyes to say he's never heard of the winger and for valencia to say theyve never heard from us.

Thought this net thing was going to be the fail safe for not pumping half a million pounds into the yearly Goodison steel upkeep. Would have been an original concept, and maybe we could have hired it out to the circus when they came to town.
