He's been a minor success I reckon although not £45m's worth - or not yet.

Naughton has more pace than Martina and he is a better player who will at least make attacking runs opening up the space for the cross or an option. With Martina he rarely makes that run and worst still needs covering constantly. Swansea were at their best playing a passing attacking style through the leagues its only the last season or two they moved away from that. Usually Dyer and Routledge were the wingers over the years for Swansea giving Sig the options. You say yourself he was pinging balls into a target man we still don't have a target man Tosun is the closest and who knows with him. But fair enough I expected more to, binning him seems premature though, when there are far bigger issues in the team(no left back, another center back? midfield? Another striker?). We would probably take a big hit on him too. I am not an apologist for Sig but think he can be a good player when the team is functioning nothing more nothing less.

Fair point to the plural of teamS you mentioned but there we weren't the only ones in for him. Honestly, when it got past £30m we should have walked.
