Could be but we still had a pile of deadwood which had not been shifted, however much of it now has.

I think you are probably right.
Koeman was like a child in a sweet shop and could not stop spending. It was just too big a task to get all of those players to settle all at once. Of course, not signing a recognised striker was the worst mistake of all.

Silva may have been helped this season by the injuries to some of the players he signed. Bernard, Gomes and Minna were allowed to settle for a number of weeks at the club before playing. Each then came into a team that had settled to some degree with really only Zouma and Richarlison playing from the start and Digne after a few games.

No it wasn’t, it was the fact we signed awful players and didn’t buy a defence or a centre forward. Basically the problem was having a thick lazy manager and incompetent DOF.

Yeah, I like Richarlison, seems like a decent guy.

That's the big thing. You see it all of the time when people have disagreements over whos taking the penalty and then they miss. It was nice and it shows a humility that he accepted Sigurdsson was the right person to take it. Especially when he won the penalty as well, Kev wouldn't have allowed Sigurdsson to take it.

It must be doing his nut in how wasteful we've been. Whilst i'm sure he's a team player, every player will want individual praise too.

A marvellous footballer who is absolutely our best player.
