His passing was again really good. He made the pass that sprung DCL. He also made a terrific pass prior to the first goal to Kenny. His corners were outstanding, too.

But my heavens, hit the bar on the PK and hit the wall on the other free kick. Drives you crazy.

I like him.

Knows how to strike a ball (which we all knew anyway) but he showed mental resilience in abundance yesterday. Ineffectual first half and penalty miss which he turned into a match winning performance.

Best thing about yesterday was we got in behind them yesterday which has been a rarity for Everton for far too long and he’s the one who can and will play those passes again.

Missing the penalty could prove to be a pivotal moment for him.

Watching the highlights, how he just stood motionless after missing the pen, was like a switch was flicked. He could have wilted but he did the opposite.

The 2 goals he scored yesterday are why we paid Swansea 45m. He has the ability to be a match winner and is a very gifted footballer. He just hasn't shown it consistently yet.

I hope that his 2nd half performance sees him kick on and do similar week in week out now.

It looked like he tried to be a bit clever by chipping the keeper..... time for Richarlison.

We’ve missed a fair few pens the last couple of seasons, although Rooney did score from the rebound after Hart stopped his original spot kick.

I noticed in the WC that he's seemed to alter his penalty technique.

He now leans back and tries a more relaxed finish. He used to always go for power - usually against us!
