Is a simpler explanation they’re just cycling off?
They were similarly crap for a period in the season Liverpool last won it. How does a team that good go from winning so many games in a row to now losing so many.
Liverpool jump from being the best team of all time to missing the top 4 completely, to then going back to being the best team ever with similar losing streaks when it’s going wrong.
Arsenal have gone from 7th to challenging the best prem team there has ever been every season. Would anyone be shocked if next season or the season after Arsenal suddenly have one player injured and find a convenient excuse for coming 5th or 6th again.
Pep was a single generational genius apparently, until Klopp was then also the other generational manager of the period except now it looks like Arteta is also one, oh and maybe Slot is too, how much money on Maresca following suit? how weird how they’ve all come along at the same time.
Ferguson Wenger and Mourinho had all the financial advantage possible and got over 90 points how many times between them? These modern managers are now absolutely battering down records.
You’re extremely naive if you don’t think football isn’t massively influenced by doping and gambling at the top level.
