City were lucky to win their last title when Liverpool were breathing down their necks, you could sense the relief. If the season had been a couple of weeks longer, they'd have blown it.

Last year they were atrocious considering the resource they have.

This year looks to be a repeat.

Can't see anything other than another gobshaite title based on City's showing so far.

The league where we cost the rs the title when city went on to win all of their last 10 games or something ridiculous?

Their responses are pathetic, trying to call Leicester boring and defensive minded, absolutely pathetic, Leicester's team cost a fraction and they scored 5 times. City think they have a divine right to trounce anyone, pep's always full of excuses rather than looking at himself or his team.

Listened to Rodgers interview after - while he loves the sound of his own voice, I thought he was making a concious effort to expose City's weaknesses and exactly how you can get at them.

As for Pep, babbling lunacy as usual

As he actually brought in that were genuinely world class?

Or did he just make the world class players already there, better?

Honestly asking cos I can't name one apart from Sane. Who he let go

I don’t get some of his signings, he has a open cheque book and signs ake, stones and mendy and Garcia looks poor too Why on earth wasn’t he signing de ligt and koulibaly?

Pep has been at city longer than anywhere else he has been at, the demanding nature of his working ethos makes me wonder if it's just running out of steam now, and yes some of the signings recent seasons have been slightly odd.

3 different players making similar catastrophic mistakes giving 3 pens away in one game should be a big concern for any coach. As good as they have been on the pitch, you look at the youth talent that has left them without replacement and you're left thinking they're really badly run off the pitch. As a result, they have an aging squad with not much depth, and the CB issue has never been fully addressed. They better hope this Dias is as good as the price tag implies or they're going to be well off top perch.

Pep sounds like he’s just given up now. He almost seems to prefer losing trying to be clever than just winning easily. ‘Maybe I can play 3 defensive mids De Bruyne on the wing, and no striker, and still win then everyone will know how great I am’. Wish he’d just go back to the 433 with one holding mid and two wide players that used to batter everyone for 2 seasons.

I think Pep has realized at City unlike Barcelona or Bayern they don't have that we can beat anyone, anytime attitude. Don't get me wrong city have been phenomenal under Pep and on most instances have blown teams away as opponents don't even bother to show up. But the moment someone shows up with some fight they can't handle it. Look at PSG its the same thing, they tear apart french league but bottle it in the Champions league. Bayern dominate the bundesliga just like PSG but also have what it takes to win in Europe. Similarly Real/Barca dominate in Spain but have the mentality to succeed in Europe. That mentality is what clubs like City and PSG lack no amount of investment can buy it. Personally don't think Pep has what it takes to change the situation city are in. The competitiveness of EPL might also be doing Peps head a bit.
