Not sure. Possibly. Can still just do it privately though. Just seems like a random announcement for the public.
Yes also postpones the controversy by another week so will give the squad less time to tune out all the media noise

Bit of an exagerration there. There was 1 game where he was not good and the rest although not setting the world alight he's been fine. Goal and assist and good performances in his last 2 games.

Wouldn't get a game over Mount, Grealish, Foden, Sterling, in that attacking 3 for me.

This, less Sterling.

Honestly, the biggest problem England has is that they can't duck an early Group F game. The defense is solid, the attacking talent is bonkers and there's a decent chance of being able to hard rotate the last group game, unlike the team coming out of F.

I reserve the right to change my mind about their depth if Southgate makes the wrong cuts to 26.

If fully fit I'd have Kane, Grealish and Foden in the front 3 with Mount in MF. But question marks over Grealish fitness so Sancho comes into play. Ahead of Sterling at the moment for me.

As much of a talent Greenwood is I wouldn't be taking him this time over someone like Watkins or Saka.

I like the look of this group: young, hungry, and very fresh legs. I know it is still early doors but I reckon if they keep it tight we could nick something here.
