I watched Croatia against Armenia recently and they just looked aged. They looked lethargic and tired.
I can’t see England progressing past the last 16, but I think they’ll win the group.

He had Maguire injured and the City and Chelsea players a week removed from the CL final so he couldn’t really have his strongest 11. 1-2 names played themselves into contention from those games so it’ll be interesting to see what he goes with on Sunday

I've just been on the Guardian website and they asked 13 of their football writers to name their finalists and winner. Only one had England to get to the final. It is the same with the Times and BBC. For the BBC pundits 12 went for France, 2 for Belgium and one for Italy. None for England. The only reason England appear as favourites or near favourites with the bookies is because loads of people have bet on them and the bookies reflect that in their odds.

News coming out that trippier will indeed be southgate's left back and that grealish isn't starting. It's exactly these decisions that have cost england progress in the past. I'm Irish, but I watch england in the big tournaments. Shoe-horning his favourites into unsuitable positions is criminal. Also, I bet he plays sterling or rashford, who are both out of form. Because he 'trusts' them. With the players you have, england should be in the shake-up as one of the teams to win it. I think southgate will cost you in this tournament.
