I'm with you to a man.

Kane has to play the target man though. Don't need him dropping deep with that level of talent behind him.

Think it may be a touch early for them this tournament and they have a tough draw to. Fancy them for next year though
Yeah I think a drawback of that particular line up is a lack of pace up front. That might see one of Sterling/Rashford/Sancho starting maybe.

Why's Aaron Hickey not in the Scotland squad? Madness.
Because of Kieran Tierney, Andy Robertson and Greg Taylor. All young talented left backs, and unlike Southgate, Clarke ain't picking half a team of full backs. He's only played just over 10 games for Bologna. His time will come.

But he's right-footed anyway; surely get a position in the squad there over Patterson.

He says himself that he's left footed, just comfortable on his right, he's also played every single game of his professional career on the left. I assume you think he's a promising player, and I agree, he probably also has done more than Patterson to deserve a place in the squad, but it would be very bold to put an 18 year old left back in at right back for a major competition.

I don't know if England will do well here or fail to even qualify from the group.

I don't see Southgate letting the flair players loose somehow.
