Why take 4 right backs? Surely there was a place for Lingard who at least offers something different over 1 of them.

On the face of it 4 RBS seems silly but they all offer something different, can play in more than 1 position and there’s space for them all in a squad of 26. Midfield looks a bit light for me though

That why i would have taken Lindgard .. he's capable of doing the unexpected so good to have as a sub if things are going pear shaped.

Not really mate. Got to get a good balance and that what he has done. Maybe Lingard unlucky, but would you have taken him over say Grealish who has only had 2/3 games at the end of the season?

Southgate is so spineless. We have left ourselves light in CM because he has picked 4 RB’s because he was too scared to make a tough decision. If Henderson is not fit (not played since Feb) that leaves us Rice, Philips and a teenager who can player deeper midfield roles

i know that, Rice and Harrison can do Hendersons job, Lingard gives an option going forward and is in form.

I agree with Lingard, surprised he is not going because he is a favourite of Southgate.
