The Euros would appear much harder to win than the world cup.
It can be. As the world cup is bigger, the top teams are more spread out and you may not meet one until.later in the tournament.

The Euros being smaller, there is a big team at every corner and you can't avoid them

Why are we taking Henderson, Maguire and Grealish? We have done this so often picking unfit players who then stink the place out in the tournament. Rooney, Beckham and as far back as 82 with Brooking and Keegan, it never works.
Rooney, Beckham, Brooking and Keegan were all still injured when the tournament began. Fully agree in that regard. At least Grealish had a couple of games at the end of the season and has a further month and 2 friendlies to get back match fit. When fit, he was arguably the best player in the Premier last season and would make a difference to any team in the competition. Especially with having the 3 extra squad places I think he's worth taking a punt on. As far as I'm aware Henderson hasn't played for months so I take your argument with him but I think he'll go for the experience he brings to the squad, which is very young and inexperienced at International level. I think he'll go but it should not be at the expense of a flair player. I'd drop Phillips for him. Not sure of Maguire's injury situation. I just thought he had a knock that wasn't considered serious. He hasn't missed months of the season like the other two.

Crazy that Germany, France and Portugal are in the same group though. That's the issue.

If you take the none European countries out of the FIFA rankings they are ranked 2nd, 4th and 8th.

No Alexander-Arnold, No Ward-Prowse... that's 30 players to left, what point does Godfrey get cut... or does he?
I think 3 defenders will be cut from current squad, one of the right backs, Ben White, and then I think it's down to a choice between Godfrey and Coady. Southall will wish to include Coady because he plays in a back 3 all the time at Wolves, and there'll be games when Southall may decide t use that tactic. I think that Godfrey will need to impress immensely during the training camp if he's going to oust Coady. His pace may give him the edge though.

Godfrey has been cut apparently.

Thought he would be. I'd have him in before both Coady and the Villa lad but I'm not Southgate. His pace would be a fantastic asset
Aye it looks like Southgate is going for leader types at CB. Mings and Coady are crap but they both captain their clubs. You could probably argue Godfrey has leadership qualities too but a bit early from him probably. I'd have taken Godfrey and White over Mings and Coady though.
