Nope. Cant afford it in our current position, and if some shiny Arab/Russian/Yank rode into town looking to buy into the PL, most likely they would take one look and ride straight out again.

Still the best ground in the country though, by a mile. Ask anyone.

We will one day but it needs Kenwright and Co to be bought off first.

FSG redeveloping Anfield is a way point in the rush for new grounds even Arsenals fabulous ground is jam tomorrow..... if everything goes to plan blah blah.

No-ones been transformed investing club money on a new ground, redevelopment will be the new black once the reds have done their thing.

To be honest, I'm happy with Goodison as it is atm.
If we got a massive new fantastic stadium like the emirates, our prices would go SKY high, like really high though. They're already bad anyway!

They wouldn't mate. Prices are high for Arsenal because they're a big club who regularly compete in Europe, and more importantly, they play in London. No chance you'd get enough Evertonians willing to pay £60+ a game.

Anyway to answer the OP's question, re-building Goodison isn't really a viable financial option.

Still though mate, they'd go up from what they currently are now and they're a joke now, especially for obstructed views!
If we had money we could rebuild Goodison, but it would take such a long period of time and cost a fair bit with buying houses etc in the area. Be amazing if we ever pulled it off like, never ever want a stadium like Sunderland's or City's, both hold no character or atmosphere. I'd hate it so much.

Is it not possible to construct a new roof to do away with the pillars and just do what Norwich done to one of their ends and make the park end double tiered with exec boxes? wouldn't need to buy anyone out of houses and would maintain that great atmosphere and history of the place!

To be fair, none of us really have a clue. If some architect decides to design a stadium extension and puts it forward to Everton it would be a different ball game and they couldn't say it wasn't possible, until then it wont happen unfortunately

It has already been done. Designs were submitted for a 50k seater stadium but then proved to be totally flawed, they set out a design which couldn't physically fit on the site.

The Park End can't have another tier built on it as far as i'm aware because of it's cantilever structure. You would have to knock down the newest stand just to spend tens of millions rebuilding it for a few extra thousand seats.

The genuine plans are out there for re-developing Goodison, somewhere.. I just cant find them right now ( still looking ffs ).. Its not cheap, but its not out of this world either..

BK and his lies over the Kings Dock, " the money is ringfenced ! " is what has made sure OUR club will not win the league in the next generation..
