I hope this is in the appropriate forum, but I just want to say this site is the best thing on the internet for me, besides porn of course. I spent many years in the wilderness nurturing my passion for Everton in solitary. I knew no other Everton fans, and got very little Everton news other than what I can find on Skysports.com and ESPN.com. Got on the OS message board a few times before they shut it down, but mostly it was just me watching the games and falling in love with the club more and more every day. On my own.

But then I wandered around and found Toffeeweb which led me here. Joining a new forum, especially for a team for which I have no geographical connection to, can be daunting. You never know how you're going to be accepted into a new community with a fanbase from another country. I used to lurk the Fulham message board once in a while just to keep tabs on Americans like McBride, Bocanegra, and Dempsey (was never a Fulham fan just wanted to see what they were saying), and I have to tell you they weren't welcomed with open arms. It seems like a lot of posters didn't want new fans. This forum is the COMPLETE opposite. Everyone is welcome with open arms, as long as you're willing to be a little gay, and you love Everton.

I don't need to explain this all of you, but supporting a team is not something one takes lightly. It can consume you, affect your emotions, and become part of the fabric that defines who you are.

So to all on here, thanks for making me, and everyone else who has stumbled in here, feel very welcome, and giving me an anchor for one of the true, real passions in my life. Everton.

Your welcome mate..the best thing about Everton Fc is that it's the peoples club and DOWN TO EARTH unlike a majority of clubs and fan bases..I second that GOT is the best place for Evertonians to talk everything Everton..

GOT is the place for every Evertonian, best forum out there.

I'll second that. For all I like to joke about hating foreigners, it's a pleasure to have guys like JohnnyDawg and Nordecke on here. Nice to see them flying the blue flag across the world, ya knaw?

This forum wouldn't be the same without you guys. And I agree it's a cracking place with cracking fans. You didn't chose, you were chosen.

Actually, seeing as I get more sexual gratification from GOT than porn, I'm going to one-up jdawg and say this is my favourite place on the interwebs.

This place is ace. I spend hours on here, mostly lurking, sometimes posting, but it just feels like you're sat in the pub with a massive group of mates.

This place can have you crying with laughter, fuming with rage and every now and then, just purely gobsmacked, by the real genuine community feel - especially prominent during any members hour of need.

Light-hearted banter and strongly fought out opinions, all wrapped up together by people who, regardless of whether they were cyber-bumming or verbally battering each other moments before, stand shoulder to shoulder, when the whistle blows, to support this great, great club - whether it's dishing up the shoite or the sublime.

And Dylan, you've got to admit, your missus does seem to be popping them out like a wet gremlin.

I too, lurked Fulham boards just to see what was being said about our beloved countrymen.
Based on message boards, Fulham fans are the lowest of the low. (Maybe worst than RS)
