As for Punk, he did apolgise : “I think the whole situation sucks,†Punk said. “It’s an unfortunate and isolated incident. I was up in the stands, surrounded. Somebody said, ‘let’s push him down the stairs. I got hit in the ribs three times. I was getting shoved and I was getting punched…Then I started getting tagged in the back of the head. Unfortunately, I lashed out in the heat of the moment and I apologize. I’m really just glad nobody was hurt.â€

I can understand it, it was a heat of the moment thing and his short temper snapped and he lashed out, Of course someone in his position shouldn't ever hit a fan but i'm surprised it doesn't happen more often the way some fans treat wrestlers, but even so as WWE champ he shouldn't have done it and they need to "punish" him which will hopefully come in the form of a fine and a bollocking, and then lots of good PR work.

Although some blame should go to WWE for having their top heel go into the crowd not long after insulting the crowd, stupid thing to do.

Really hope this doesn't change anything because after being a really sucky face previously Punk has been awesome as a smarmy cocky heel so it would be a shame if this results in any kind of demotion on screeen.

As for Ryback, i just can't see it with him. Sure he's done ok and is over, and Monday night was a great bit of booking to put him over but all this talk about main events and titles is way too premature for me. He's not Goldberg and shouldn't be treated as such.

I reckon Ryback will definitely be in the main event at Hell in a Cell, more than anything to lessen the work load for an injured Cena. Can't see Punk dropping the belt for the time being though. Think he'll keep it through to Royal Rumble where he'll drop it to the Rock.

Don't think he'll serve a suspension. The guy isn't pressing charges and it is the WWE's fault for not putting security out there with him.

Can't stand Ryback. Extremely poor excuse for a wannabe Goldberg. The guy LOOK like a clown, MOVE like a clown and his theme song is ridiculous. It really, really makes me sad if this guy is supposed to be the next big thing. What a joke.

Just reading some WWE forums, alot are quite bored of whats happening.

WWE certainly needs a change, IMO i'd say cut down on the PPVs, have just 4 all year: Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summmerslam and Money in the Bank...then the others can just be extended versions of Smackdown/Raw without having to pay for it. Also - bring back swearing!!

Are you saying they're supposed to drop Survivor Series, the oldest PPV of them all? No thanks, remove MITB, and have it as a match at Wrestlemania as it's supposed to be. Most important: Remove the ****ing Hell in a cell PPV! It's ruined one of the greatest match stipulations of all time. HIAC ain't any special anymore thanks to that PPV. WWE today make me sad, really. I miss the old "shocking" announcemets of these type of stipulation. I still remember how awesome it was when Vickie Guerrero announced Edge vs Undertaker HIAC at Smackdown some years ago. (what a feud that was!!)

Last week on raw, Brodus Clay - a fat annoying bloke - was about to go up against R Truth - a boring black guy who talks to an invisible child.

But, instead of wrestling, R Truth suggests they dance.

So they started to dance.

And that was the exact moment I turned the TV off and went to sleep, realising yet again that I shouldn't be watching this s***.

But of course, if I'd persevered, I would have seen an ace main event with Punk. But this is the issue with WWE - the inconsistency is mind-boggling. It wants to be a kids morning TV show and edgy wrestling at the same time. And that's what is causing the rating slide as neither demographic is finding it interesting.

Agree with everything you say apart from the fact that Wrestlemania is older than Survivor Series.

Completely agree. There are no real surprises any more (well, as much as there can be in a scripted thing anyway)...

The problems with ppvs like HIAC and TLC is that the match types they are based on used to be brought out only as long-term feud enders, now we get at least 2 a year, it just doesn't feel as special.

At the moment the best weekly show imo is NXT.

Whilst I'm delighted at his speedy recovery, i'm not really looking forward to Jerry Lawler coming back to commentary, I just get the feeling he doesn't enjoy it as much as he used to and he works much better as a heel. Plus I think the combination of Cole, JR and JBL on raw this week was pretty good.

Exactly my point, master. It's nothing special anymore, and it's very rarely used in heated feuds, but more with randomly thrown together match ups. And with the PG stuff it ain't any brutal anymo' either. I'm not a blood hungry psycho (or maybe I am), but blood is a really good way to take a feud to the next level, to sell a beatdown.. It's the perfect effect to gain heat for heels. And making someone bleed in a CAGE makes it even more effective.

Lawler should be a foof-crazy heel, not an overjoyed, annoying face that cries everytime Cena loose a match. JBL is an announcing..GOOOOOOOOD. Same with JR.
