GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Well I think it's great. It beats the hell out of the previously proposed Undertaker vs Braun Strowman. Hell, I'd rather see Shane vs Taker than Cena vs Taker.

I reckon Cena will be involved in the match in some fashion, maybe to counteract Vince and Steph.

Taker doesn't have his streak anymore, so it's not as big a deal about him losing at WM as it was previously. He also acted heelish at the most recent Summerslam vs Lesnar.

I wouldn't worry about the crowd reactions in Texas - the crowd reactions for this match are the least of their worries. They should be more bothered about Reigns getting booed out of the stadium vs Triple H, despite being pushed as the top babyface and supposedly being the victim of all of these heinous angles. No matter how hard they push Reigns, the fans don't want him as the top face.

Here's fan footage of Byron Saxton secretly handing Reigns either a blade or a blood capsule for the closing bloody angle (at the 20 second mark):

Rumour I'm hearing is that Undertaker is going to pummel Shane until Vince and Stephanie come out to gloat

At that point, Undertaker drags a limp Shane over himself and eats a pinfall loss for the good of the company

Seeing as Vince "created" The Undertaker, it's only right that Undertaker is the reason he loses control to Shane

Makes sense I suppose, and is a way for Shane to win without Undertaker looking weak

i like the idea mate. Sadly it makes a terrible wrestlemania match though! haha

there is something else to the match though, shane's reaction to being told the match struck me as the storyline isnt just over that that point, like normally they would act shocked or whatever else, shanes face didn't change like he was playing the 'got a plan' type of thing.

Disagree. That'd be up there with the fingerpoke of doom.

Undertaker's record at Mania meaning literally nothing to him after the loss to Lesnar in that case, and would destroy the legacy of it. A second loss that he lost on purpose? Nah.

I think it's pretty much nailed on that Shane wins thanks to interference from someone. No point having Undertaker win as then this is just a completely pointless angle. Shane can't win clean as it would be an absolute joke.

I also don't think a face authority figure works in the long run so I reckon Shane will be a heel pretty quickly.

We'll probably also get a Shane vs HHH match at Summerslam for control of the company.

I always thought it was harsh that the heel essentially has less merchandise opportunity. I think it'd be much fairer if merchandise sales were split between the roster in some way. If a great heel has worked to get a face over for 6 months and they subsequently sell a load of shirts then I think the heel should get a cut of that.
some heels do well merchandise wise

look at brock lesnar, the new day and my favourite seth rollins

lol knowing how poor the wwe are, shane loses at wrestlemania and invokes his rematch on monday night raw and wins :P

Great to see Shane back....amazing crowd pop.....
Now to the problems with this booking.....why would Undertaker agree to fight for Vince?....how are the crowd suppose to get into the match? Shane is supposed to be a babyface challenging the authority for control of wwe (but he's bizarrely fighting the biggest babyface at Wrestlemania)...it makes no sense....

Quickly onto the disastrous booking of the Main event title match......Roman will never get over, he has no charisma.....and HHH can't help himself and not play to the crowd (his job is to get Roman over as a babyface....so why the f&@k is he doing the dx crotch chop)........there gonna have to gimmick the hell out of that match, and even then it's probably doomed (had thought they might have Vince & Stephanie in HHH corner, and Rock & Ronda Rousey in Reigns's, but that's gone now).....

Says everything about the state of the current locker room....

Part time wrestler HHH comes back to become champion and headline Wrestlemania (despite not wrestling 1 match since last wrestlemania)....
Shane (a retired part time wrestler-ish), comes back and gets the Undertaker match....

It's incredible really...

Austin & HBK must have turned down serious money to come out of retirement...

Hopefully Brock just batters Ambrose from start to finish!!

Don't know how there going to get the big numbers for Wrestlemania with the matches so far.

styles pops up, and forearm smashes taker to give shane the win.... shane and styles go on to form a new 'authority' where the tna star holds the belt for a while... styles v rollins is the future..

Kenny Omega and the Bucks offering an open challenge to the New Day.

I wish WWE would do stuff like this, accept that it's not just you in the business and there's a bigger world out there. Yes they've begun to nod towards New Japan but allowing 3 stars to appear on Raw or New Day at WrestleKingdom or something would send shockwaves around the business.

On Shane, they put a video on YouTube about his return, at the end noting "He's a McMahon, he will have an ace up his sleeve."

I don't think he fights, I think he gets someone to do it for him. Can you smell what he's picking?
