GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Apparently Sting got a really bad neck injury when Rollins did the "Buckle Bomb". Some saying he may never wrestle again.

He shouldn't wrestle again either way.....crazy booking at NOC, and sting took some crazy bumps for a 56 year old....none of it made sense to me....Hopefully this puts an end to Taker vs Sting now, as it really would be terrible....

Poor Rollins....beaten clean by Cena (great build up to a World title match that)....and now he's got another dinosaur at the next PPV....

Wasn't bad was it? Not sure where it will go though. She's actually not that good a wrestler compared to some of the other ladies they have now.

Bewbs though.
I don't agree, I think she is good. It doesn't help that she's spent the past however long only fighting people like Nikki and Brie who are largely awful.

Once she has a spell working against Charlotte and Sasha I think she'll show that she is really good again.

Maybe. Isn't she on like a 5 match losing streak? Doesn't help her shine.

Out of curiosity, where do ye guys see WWE being in 5 years time?....still going strong or struggling?...I ask because I kind of wonder what Vince & HHH's plan is when they can no longer look to the old timers to headline PPV's and bump ratings....its safe to assume in 5 years, bringing back Taker, Sting, Austin, HHH, Kane, even the Rock will no longer be on the cards....lesnar will likely have called it a day too....and Cena will probably be a wrestlemania only worker...

Looking at the current roster, whose the next big time star(s)?.....watching the current product, I don't see many if any who can attract mainstream attention (I like Rollins, but if they continue to book him weak they'll waste him like they did Punk).....Raw is boring too much these days (3 hours is too much, I fast forward through loads of it) and the writers seem to have run out of creative storylines....

Reigns is dull, Ambrose is a boring wrestler, Rusev can't do promos, neither can Cesaro, Wyatt has lost his way, Ryback is terrible, sheamus is terrible, if ziggler was gonna become a top star he would have already, Bryan may never wrestle again....Owens stands out as a potential top guy..that's it right now...
The last time they had a lull like this, they fought that by making the product edgier and violent to bring back the older fans...they can't do that this time...

To be honest mate it's a good job they've got NXT. Pretty much any of those guys in there are capable of moving up.

Only watched the last few NXT takeovers...some good stuff there alright...not sure though if they got anyone yet who can be a top star though...
Finn balor has a good gimmick (entrance is cool....Looking forward to what they do with that at wrestlemania)....but again there's a size issue there....don't get me wrong I was a huge fan of CM Punk, but he was never gonna become the next Austin because casual fans thought he was too small....Bryan, same problem, you can't put him on a marque poster and say "Remember Hulk Hogan & Ultimate Warrior?...well this is our champion now, pay $9.99 to watch a small guy fight"....

I'm just not sure right now how you can get these guys over with the PG Restrictions....as performers in the ring, there's a lot of talent there....but if they don't look like Brock Lesnar then you gotta find another way to make people wanna watch them....

I think they'll still be about in 5 years

I doubt it'll ever be as big as it was in the peek periods of the 80's or 90's, but I think they'll be profitable so long as they don't completely lose their minds with the booking. As it is, the booking isn't particularly good but they have enough stars to hold on to the fans they already have

They need to make some new ones though

How much does Floyd Mayweather way?

What sells is charisma and presence, not size

Conor McGregor is smaller than your average dude, but that man can cut a promo and people pay to watch him

I used to think that you needed massive blokes. But you really really don't.

I get that....but mayweather & McGregor are legit fighters...people pay money to watch a real fight (and many pay in the hope they see them get knocked out)....I agree about the promos, which is part of my original post, Punk could talk me into buying a PPV, Bryan couldn't but his wrestling could......how many of today's guys can talk casual fans into paying to watch a fake fight?....Reigns can't, ziggler can't, cesaro can't, rusev can't, Wyatt can't...maybe if the show wasn't PG they could...
