GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

I love watching Kane and Show dominate, they are both circa 7foot heavyweights with the mean looks and attitude.

Just a teeny weeny small spec of a issue..... BULLY F'N RAY is back !

I don't dislike Reigns at all. I think there's something there, he's certainly likeable, but he's been rocket boosted to the top with no work and that's what the fans have turned on - being told what to like instead of organically rewarding hard work, good gimmicks and storytelling.

It's insulting fan intelligence. As I said, MASSIVE parallels with the pre-Attitude era product.

I'm probably totally wrong with this but just thinking back to the stars of the Attitude Era and the RA Era. The Rock, HHH, Stone Cold, Y2J, Benoit, Mankind, Cena, Edge etc etc all worked their way up, or had several years history in the industry before joining WWE, but all had the right character and personality. There's only two men that I can recall who were pretty much catapulted to the big time from the get go - Angle and Lesnar but at least they were both legitimate amateur wrestlers, and as a whole package were entertaining.

I agree mate, E&C, Shawn Michaels, Rock, Austin, HHH, Y2J, Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and hell even Cena all started as mid card, tag team or IC champions, it was the level between the triaining plant and the top.

Right now i would have something like this:

Tag Team:
Goldust & Stardust, Uso's, Team MizDow, Outlaws (for training young talent on screen), any two from the new day group (kofi & Langston), Dudley Boys (if D-Von joins)

IC: Barrett, Wyatt, ziggler, Rusev, Swagger, Cesaro,

Heavyweight: Kane, Show, Lesnar, Rollins, Cena, Orton, reigns (now he is rumble winner), bryan, Bully Ray (if he stays), HHH.

Anymore i have missed out that you would like to see change or join a certain group ? We need more stables to have a bit of gang warfare inbetween, they can also branch into single or tag team divisions.

Indeed, but even then they got the spots due to the exodus of talent to WCW which forced McMahon's hand into developing newer talent.

Take The Rock for example - the guy was booed and told to die by the audience because WWF shoved him down their throats a la Reigns - it's only when they took the creative leash off his development that he flourished.

Basically, McMahon doesn't have the WCW incentive to bring his A-game and we now have his modus operandi of idiot characters and OTT booking at the expense of storytelling and wrestling.

The man is a genius who has become complacent yet again. The problem is this time it's a permanent issue, as TNA is no WCW and there's no light at the end of the tunnel.

Basically, if you're over the age of 14 right now, you feel like a complete idiot for watching WWE. Your intelligence is insulted. You're watching Disney in Spandex, hoping for something good to happen but it never does - or, if it does, it lasts a month at best and the rug is pulled under it for more Cena Superman antics.

The product has been bad for the majority of the last decade, but in the last two years it's sunk to depths I don't even think the most vociferous WWE critic could have imagined. The New Day superface group, the cartoon corruption of Ascension, lack of coherent story telling (why did Brie go back to Nikki? Why bother telling the audience, just middle finger them and carry on!) and so on.

Just awful all round.

Just a thought, but if you are currently not happy with the storylines in the WWF. Why not watch the real sport of wrestling and let the sport be the real drama.

That's the equivalent of saying if you're not happy with the storylines in Eastenders, why not go and stare at a cockney.

Have no issue with Reigns, but eliminating Bryan so early was a huge miscalculation

I don't even watch Raw or Smackdown anymore. It's NXT, PPV's and Classic Stuff for me now, and that suits me just fine. I've heard a lot of people are cancelling their Network subscriptions over this. I feel I'm still getting value for me £9.99 at the moment

If NXT has a creative overhaul though and becomes essentially "mini-Raw", it just won't be worth the money anymore

I eagerly await Wednesdays now, like I used to await Monday's back when Raw was actually good

This is all I do now. I genuinely don't want the NXT stars to move onto the main roster because they'll be wasted and ruined. I "read" Raw now the day after and if anything happens I think sounds alright I'll skip through it. NXT is brilliant. The best way to put it is that THEY know that WE know what's going on in pro wrestling so they try not to insult us by acting like we don't know. Raw and Smackdown still think kayfabe is alive and that none of us knew that the golden boy with 4 moves would win the rumble.
