Lesnar is back on Raw tonight as Heyman's plan C for The Authority

Jericho going over Wyatt last night made sense as Jericho made him look a lot stronger both in build and match than Cena did over the 3 matches and will more than likely put him over at Summerslam

Why Miz got brought back I don't know, his career hasn't really recovered since his WM burial in victory by Rock and Cena in 2011

Shame the Wyatts didn't win the tag belts but they and the Usos had another belter of a match

Watching Battleground now..
The Usos are surely one of the greatest tag teams to ever grace the WWE/WWF? They have been simply electrifying for the last few PPVs.
The rest of Battleground can only be downhill after that..

May as well switch it off right now really, as you're spot on.

Battleground was always going to be a nothing show, to set up Summerslam.

Cena is just a placeholder champ, until Brock Lesnar beats him at Summerslam. It was originally supposed to be Bryan vs Lesnar, until Bryan got injured.

Lana & Rusev & WWE are getting a ton of criticism for her promo on the Battleground show where she referenced the MH17 plane crash. Came across in poor taste and they're being slaughtered for it.

There's even a big Daily Mail article on it:

'Blonde WWE star slammed for using MH17 tragedy as tasteless storyline in grudge match between Russian and American wrestlers'

Miz has got the title as he is the star in a WWE Studios film which is going to released soon so they thought it would be a good move to put a belt on him. The original plan was for Ziggler to win it (and he has just beaten Miz clean on Raw in a non-title match).

That is pretty poor from WWE using the plane crash in their promo.

TBF I'd forgive her

Think you've perfectly summed up how I feel.

May I add how truly terrible the Paige/AJ story is. Why the hell don't they just let Paige be a proper heel Bitch? She has experience of being on the dark side from her days in British wrestling. The mutual appreciatiopn angle is hopelessly gash.
Oh well, looks like I got my wish.

She really is beyond fit.

As for the controversy, I don't think the storyline was overly disrespectful. They've been doing the anti-America story for weeks and the crash is a "current affair" relating to it. What else could they do? Ignoring it completely would have left a massive elephant in the room.

Battleground was in the middle for me

Tag Title match was excellent

Enjoyed the 4 way for what it was as well. Some good near falls

Battle Royal was annoying as they showed Miz outside the ring as Sheamus and Dolph faced off, so you knew he'd get involved in the finish somehow

I would have rather Bo Dallas won it to become "The Most Inspirational IC Champion of All Time" or it would have been cool if Heath Slater had fluked it. Massive pop when he dumped Cesaro

Furious about the bait and switch between Rollins and Ambrose

If I was paying for the Network it wouldn't have bothered me as much, because this show would essentially be "free", but I paid 15 quid to see this and I expected to get what was advertised

I'm not sure where people are getting "worst ppv of the year" from it though. It was an average show with a MOTY tag title match and a fun main event
