GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

In reference to Lionheart, I believe WresteTalk TV made mention of it on the show and decided to use it as a way to have a sly dig at PCW and the promoter has thusly responded on social media

From BIB has said, it sounded like PCW did the best they could in a horrible situation. I'm not Steven Fludder's biggest fan, but it seems a bit rich for the Alex Shane Mafia on Challenge TV to have a pop at him just because he isn't in their little club (Which also includes the upper echelon of FSM magazine)

And to top it all, a man actually suffered a very serious injury and yet these jack-offs are using it for cheap point scoring

Sickening

Just as a point of reference, FSM Magazine has a VERY good relationship with PCW and Steven Fludder (as it does with the other main north west promotions). FSM's relationship with Alex Shane, I am not privvy to, although clearly there is one, given the extensive advertising given to Shane's various business endeavours. However, as far as PCW and FSM goes, both sides have been, and continue to be, very good to each other. Fludder is one of the good guys (from my own personal experience, and from both the imports and the U.K. guys he uses).

I totally agree with you regarding WrestleTalk TV though. I find Joel Ross to be incredibly obnoxious, both on screen and off (on Twitter). The general vibe I get (and others get this too) is that he might be 'a fan' of wrestling, but it is a means to an end for him, and he uses it quite cynically at times, often looking down on the business. The irony is this is a man that other tv channels aren't exactly clamouring over to give air time to, following his Radio 1 departure a few years ago.

I was also very disappointed with the ludicrous criticism of El Ligero on a recent show. It just smacked of a personal issue. El Ligero is one of the best workers in the U.K. today, one of the nicest and most hardworking guys, and I can think of tons of others that would have warranted the criticism, before they gave it to Ligero.

FSM has been a big supporter of Ligero and it was only a few months back that it carried a major 5 page 'road diary' article from him, so I think it is unfair to lump FSM & WrestleTalk TV together as one 'shady cabal', so to speak.

I wasn't trying to insinuate anything regards to FSM, but I was highlighting a fact that the people who call the shots at that magazine are, and always have been, dug in with Shane and his cronies. It just annoys me that pretty much all of the mainstream coverage of British Wrestling is being handled by that crew. They have their favourites and will focus only on those favourites and nothing else. I haven't read FSM in a while to be fair, as the bias just wound me up. It's the same with Power Slam, although they seem a little bit more unbiased in the sense that they seem to hate everyone and have equal snark for everyone

This Joel Ross guy can just jump out a window as far as I'm concerned though. Nearly ruined the Jim Cornette night as well

Respect your view Mikey, and agree about Power Slam!

All I will say here is that I can assure you 100% that the FSM coverage of the north west promotions is completely unbiased. If anything, there is often a push for more coverage.

Awesome stuff BIB, have a weird affinity with Charles Wright. Loved the Godfather gimmick, didn't mind the Kama UFC one but the Shango one scares the bejeezus out of me even now at nearly 29. I've only ever watched 1 promo (about Warrior), one match (against Santana at Summerslam 92) and one angle with him involved (Warrior's return at Wrestlemania 8) since they were first aired in 92

The Usos! Highlight of the show. No one deserves it more. Been a fan since they first came to WWE, and the build up to this have been long and pretty well done - which you could see on the crowd. No Sheamus-rush to the title here, everyone loves champs that works hard to establish them self and then get the belts the "Eddie" way.
