GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Anyone read a decent wrestling book\autobiography recently? I reread Eric Bischoff: Controversy creates cash for about the hundredth time. Brillant book, I'd love to read an Undertaker (don't see it happning though) or even Paul Hayman autobiography.

Read Kurt Angle's not too long ago. The stuff leading up to him being an actual pro wrestler is actually quite disturbing.

Both the Jericho books were always going to be brillant. Had enough of reading Foley books though, that guy must of had more autobiographys then Winston Churchill by now. I liked his last one about TNA though.

Jericho's books are great. The first Foley one is good but every other one gets progressively worse. William Regal's is required reading too

I've got the magnum opus that is Bret Hart's book to read next. Talk about intimidating. You could rob a bank with that book!

I couldn't put a price on my copy of Bret Harts book, got it signed when he was in town a few years back. Excellent read to. Another book I found suprisingly good was the Hulk Hogen one, it only goes up to wrestlemania 18, doesn't cover enough on wcw and is full of the normal Hogen BS but still very interesting.

Woah, are we blaming HHH here although he has no part in what goes on RAW and Smackdown ?

To those shows he is still a wrestler.

He runs NXT and will do until he is ready to take over the top job. NXT is the best WWE product at the minute and its thanks to HHH.

Oh and he signs guys who can wrestle, he's signed a lot of indys recently, he hasn't signed many 'Big' guys.

Look at El Generico and Sami Callihan, Both signed by HHH. Not big, can wrestle and can cut promos.

You don't seriously believe that he's not got any power do you? The guy is the chosen one to take control of wwe once Vince is done. He may not have official power but he's one of the voices wispering bull**** to vince. Sorry but I've got nothing positive about Triple H (with the exception of the return of the tag team division, which I have to credit him for), the guy is just another snake that Vince foolishley liisten's to.

Let's see how far El Generico or Sami Callihan go in wwe shall, Danial Bryan is one of the best wrestlers and talkers they have and what's he doing? Stuck in a tag gimmick with kane! (Don't get me wrong, I like the gimmick but Bryan Is better then that!). The ego of hhh is unreal Lesner would kill him and Cena for fun but no god almighty has to win at Mania and will prob win at E Rules, he has more then his fair share of power and influence in the running of wwe.

Who the hell came up with the booking for Raw?! (It would of made Vince Russo proud). The show had far to many squash matchs and the ending! Oh boy! Suprise, suprise Super Cena is back!

Get that read asap. It's awesome, best wrestling autobiography I've ever read. The detail is incredible; Bret kept a daily diary throughout the 1980s and 1980s. Absolutely zillions of anecdotes too.

Stephanie runs the creative teams.

HHH's major influence thus far has been in developmental, which is a zillion times better than what it was just a few years ago. It was his influence that led to a change in mindset of who to sign, leading to ROH & other U.S. indys getting raided for the likes of Sami Zayn (Generico), and soon to be Sami Callahan and Mike Bennett. He also convinced Vince to spend actual money on developmental, when for years they barely spent a penny on developing new talent. HHH also achieved the impossible in convincing Bruno Sammartino to make up with Vince after a 25 year plus feud, plus HHH also convinced Vince to donate money to Chris Nowinski's Sports Legacy Institute investigating concussions and brain injuries - after years of WWE snubbing the research because SLI blamed the Benoit tragedies on WWE ignoring that he had a concussion. HHH is in charge of the NXT tv show, and is apparently the only one in the upper management who values Jim Ross' contributions. One of the first things HHH did was get Ross back, heavily involved in developmental.

HHH has actually done a hell of a lot of good behind the scenes since taking up his new responsibilities behind the scenes.

The main WWE on-screen product is the way it is right now as a result of lack of new stars coming through to create fresh match ups, which is a by-product of the terrible John Laurinitais years in charge of development. It will probably take 12-18 months before you start seeing the major fruits of HHH's new regime being reaped. Things take time.

The Jericho books is absolutely fantastic. I'm half way through Bret Harts book now, which I've been for a year or more probably. After I started working, I can go six months between every time I read a little. (I read comics though, now and then)

Road Warrior Animal's is a fantastic read, generally for everything related to the best tag team ever The Road Warriors (Legion of Doom). The parts about Hawk and his addictions were particularly hard to read

Shawn Michaels' is a good read too, as is Hulk Hogan's second (Avoid the WWE one, it's rubbish!). The latter is hard to read if you were/are a fan of the Hulkster as I am, especially the way it leads off with him contemplating ending it

Bret Hart 's is great. Eddie Guerrero's is light on detail but i enjoyed it. Quite sad knowing of his untimely death however.

Still need to finish the second Jericho book.
