GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Agreed.

Comes out first.

Says nothing.

Ad break.

Brilliant. They just don't think.

That was to let people know he was on the show, something big is going down, and to stay tuned. It makes perfect sense.

I thought Old School Raw was great, particularly the Outlaws.

They're bringing them back next week, as New Age Outlaws vs Team Rhodes Scholars has already been announced for next week's Raw.

It was not as good as it should have been.

That's very true.

Only because, like you, I've been watching since wrestling was awesome.

True. 98-2001 was an incredible time to be a wrestling fan. WWF,WCW and ECW all going hell for leather. Great times

Ever look back at the period from 2002-05 and think it was better than we remember? I remember complaining non-stop during then but looking back, I reckon it was better in a lot of ways than todays product

The Attitude era has really ruined wrestling for fans imo these days as they are expecting even the smallest things to be of high quality and if its not then they **** on it from a great height. I remember not taking to it at first because, as a 12 year old I was so used to the Hogan/cartoon era of the late 80s and early 90s but I soon adapted and loved that era. The Benoit incident has also played a part in fans perception of the product these days what with the lack of blood (save for hardway cuts) and head shots with chairs and such, things that were staples during the Attitude era

I think what I enjoyed most about teh attitude era wasn't the swearing, boobs or blood. What I enjoyed the most was that everyone had a fully developed character all the way from Steve Austin down to Al Snow. Guys were pushed and allowed to get over. These days, everyone is a scrub save for like 5 people and who wants to watch a show full of losers who don't matter?

Amazing WWE tribute Video for Paul Bearer. This will probably be on WWE tv shows over the next week.

I really hope they put him in the Hall of Fame, either this year or next. What a manager this guy was.

WWE do ace memorial videos.

I remember nearly crying my eyes out to the Eddie Guererro one.

OK I DID CRY TO IT. HE WAS MY FAVE AT THE TIME!!

VIVA LA RASA

Damn it ijjy, why did you post that? The only time I've ever genuinely cried over a wrestler's death, just a sick feeling thinking back to that Monday morning and logging on to 411mania to read the taping results from the night before (can't remember the reasons why the were taping on a Sunday) and seeing the awful news as the lead story on the homepage. I have the Benoit free edits of both tribute shows on DVD that came as a bonus disc on the second Eddie DVD and they are hard to watch

I saw Eddie at a house show maybe 5 days before he died. What a loss. I think he'd be huge to this day if he'd survived. Just an amazing performer.

Wrestlemania 29 ppv price on Sky Box Office this year has gone up. Usually it's £14.95 (as it is for all of them in the U.K.), but it's increased to £17.95 this year.

Still, that's cheaper than what the Americans are paying for the ppv ($54.95, which works out at £36). Then again, Americans get the shows live in prime time, whereas we get them live at midnight/1am.
