As a storyline in itself the invasion angle wasn't that bad and defiantly had some high points. It was just the problem of pretending it was WWF Vs WCW that was the issue. No recognisable main stars apart from DDP (who was horribly misused) and Booker T. It wasn't WCW without Goldberg, Sting, Ric Flair, the NWO (the orignal, the rest of the hangers on can GTF), Randy Savage, and many more. The biggest waste of that entire angle was the RAW the night after Survivor Series. Can you imagine if they had brought Eric Bischoff out as the new "co-owner" instead of Ric Flair? Talk about an amazing angle, and instead of the RAW/Smackdown brand split it could of been RAW/Nitro. It wouldn't been epic. Sadly Vince' s ego and desire to crap all over WCW wouldn't let it happen.:(

I was pretty new to watching wrestling at that point thanks to a mate at uni so was so pro WWF at the time I enjoyed them getting the better hand of everything.

But in hindsight and knowing more about the background it's not great.

Still watch that Survivor Series on the regs though.

That main event match at Survivor Series was brilliant. Even if I didn't think much of the whole angle in itself that match is up with the best ever match's in Survivor Series history. Definitely the best team match like that they've ever had, though I still enjoy the 2014 Authority match just because Sting (my all time favourite) made his WWE debut and I marked out like I haven't since since the 90's!
 
I seem to remember an in your house promo that was really cool. I think it was Rock Bottom 1998 and was for The Undertaker Vs Stone Cold "Buried Alive" match. I didn't watch all that many WWF PPV's back then (I stuck with WCW even when it fell to peaces) so this one really sticks out in my mind.
