Beginning to "slim up" here - doing exercise daily and keeping a diet of not eating any junk.

I have, however, not done anything in the last few days cuz we were packing and moving stuff to our new flat. Today though... my god, are boxes heavy ffs! Quite a work out.

Also turns out the last guys left some dumbbells in the flat, so that's a profit for me, like, even if it's not the most essential of things...

I've gone back doing some lifting, not putting any weight on my dodgy ankles.

Bench, pull ups, shoulder press, horizontal pull ups.
Also some isometric band exercises for quads and hamstrings.
Still doing lots of foam rolling and soft tissue work, stretching

I've put weight and on and unfit, but hate the gym, I would rather play a sport so I can have fun and lose weight at the same time. Would love to start tennis but I recken you need to be fit to play this so what sports would be best to start with, by the way I'm a women so no rugby please.

Going to jib my new gym off soon. The free weights section is a joke. I reckon there's about 30 pairs of dumbbells there and there's never more than 10 pairs on the racks. I spend as much time looking for weights as I do actually using them.

I'd say that whilst fitness probably does help with tennis, good technique will take you a long way. If you're learning the sport from scratch then fitness probably isn't a huge issue.

I realise I am a jammie sod reading this. Stayed at about 11st for ever. Not an ounce of fat on me, and have never properly exercised, like in a gym or jogging and that. Played tons of football, walked the dog for about 4 miles a day until he carked it a few years back, and use to cycle a bit a few years ago just for fun.

Sorry.

Haha I am the opposite, since reaching 50, even though I play football once, sometimes twice a week, go to the gym and swim, I have put on 8-10 kg in the last 18 months.

Does that merit an infraction?

What height are you?
11 stone would be anorexic for me

well I'm joining a few friends for football on AstroTurf, will my normal trainers be good enough? or will I be slipping everywhere

Badminton is a good sport to pick up. It's fun, it doesn't take long to get alright at it, it's indoors so can be done in any weather, and you don't have to do as much running as in Tennis.
