How long did you have to wait between the last two groups @Eggs?

...it was an age, Matey. We knew Speith was in trouble because the lads next to us had a radio. Must have been at least 3/4 of an hour, we were just chuffed when the scoreboard changed and read -8 Kuchar, -7 Speith. We were convinced he'd dropped more than one, then he hit that tee shot right in front of us at the 14th, it truly was an incredible bit of sport to witness.

Great insight into some of the golfers as well. We saw Fowler a few times and he just never acknowledged the fans, not even a touch of his cap. Bloke called Southgate hit one of the few birdies on the 14th and his reaction was brilliant. Most were really good, 'Beef' was enjoying himself and it was good to see 'The Bomber' Bellew following Tommy Fleetwood around the whole course.

Did you follow the last group the rest of the way?

...nope. There were 4 of us. We sat on the 4th for a few hours them moved to the 14th until the last pairing came through. The 14th is close to the entrance, we saw the Speith's eagle at the 15th on the big screen as we were going out and watched the final few holes with some American's in a bar close by. Once it was finished we got a cab back to Liverpool.

The event did the area proud, it was great to see so many folk from around the globe thoroughly enjoying themselves.

It was a most dramatic tournament in the end.
I only wish it had been on BBC. I found Sky always a trip away from advertising at the best moments.

....backed Stroud yesterday morning @ 40-1, one shot off the lead going into the final round provides a bit of interest although I can't see him winning given his world ranking.

He's just done a beautiful shot eggs and a great chance for a birdie. Well in with a shout imo so if i was you I'd be keeping a keen eye on events

Edit - just got the birdie and he is back to -6 ;)
