That's nonsense. In Scotland, we've had for years a tradition of municipal golf courses run by the local councils which charge affordable fees. I don't know what the story is where you come from.

Any weekend you'll catch ordinary folk playing on one of several local courses for the love of the game and their political affiliations are irrelevant.
