Gibson injured!

Can't believe the negative comments about Gibson. I think we have only lost one game (cup semi) in which he has played for us. He maybe isn't the most skilful player but in my opinion he allows others around him to play. Will be a loss for us if he is out for any length of time!
I agree 100% I remember people saying the same about Parkinson, but Gibson has more potential.

you are right, he has been awesome. oldschool ace. atm we actually dont know how serious it is, so no need to panic. these thingys happend

Really hope he's fit and it's him and Fellaini in midfield again. Think we have a really good balance with him in the team.

Allows Fellaini to have more freedom and as shown, Fellaini with freedom is a dangerous player. Going to be a big loss. Wouldnt drop him for Rodwell, but now here is Rodwells chance, step up or **** off.

He will be a big miss. He has the ability to spray the ball about accurately which gives us a right side that gets forward and attacks alot more. This was really evident during the final games of the season. It is a real shame because we have yet to see him fully match fit with a decent pre season behind him.
Neville or Rodwell will take his place against Manchester United. I'm going to say it....I think I would actually go with Nevile for this one. He certainly won't hide, he'll want the ball and make himself available and get stuck in. Rodwell will do none of those things. Mind you the problem with Neville is when he gets the ball.....

I wouldnt be surprised if the injury isnt all that bad, he was away at the Euros so a few weeks behind in preseason, hes the kind of lad who id say has to work on his fitness more then most, i wouldnt be surprised if hes just being held back for another week of getting his core fitness up to scratch.

Oh Changy how you amuse me. Anyone who can't see just how important Gibson was in transforming our season last year clearly doesn't understand football. He was a rock in the centre of midfield, breaking up play, covering other midfielders forward runs and has about the best passing game in our squad. If he is out for any period of time he will be sorely missed.

Surely he would have limped off with an injury like that. Looking back at the match, he didnt look that bad. Perhaps a strain..yes, but surely not torn ?????

Pretty much this, he walked off fine against AEK. Can't see it being that bad.

And for the record, I rate him. He will never be our best player but he is a soild player in CM, better than Neville, Hetinga and Rodwell in that position.
