We haven't won a domestic cup in our entire history.

Its a major blemish on Evertons record books as far as am concerned.

any ideas on the ticket allocation for the final and how the club might be portioning out tickets for it?
 
Season Ticket holders will get priority then do it on aways i think. Think you will get enough to cover every season ticket holder roughly 24k? Think you will get about 29k.
 
so there might just be an amount on general sale for the everton end should we make it?

a % will go to allegedly neutral fans, wembley holds 90k (too small - [Poor language removed] that one up FA) obviously corporate get a chunk. i wonder....

I defy you not to be cheering when Yobo lifts that cup to the skies in front of 50,000 Everton fans at Wembley (where it is held also). We have never won the League Cup due to our own failures during it, the loss to Liverpool in the 80s hurt as much as any I am led to believe. This is a chance for our current crop to make history for themselves as the first Everton team to win the League Cup. I will enjoy this very much, even if we go out in the Semis I will be proud of my team reaching that far. You tell it to the players that it is a mickey mouse cup when they are celebrating on Wembley turf.
you're a disgrace. The League Cup may not be the best but if anyone's going to win it, I want our name to be on that cup.

Would think so but probably cup priority or away priority.

Think each set get about 30k, and the FA get the same :angry:

so if/when we win this and dont get into europe in the league (this is just a thought and i dont believe it will happen the league bit that is oh bollocks) you will still say when we are not in europe next year(hyperthetical) that this cup is a load of poo then suits!
 
A big reason i'd like to win it is for the younger generation.

Liverpool have won virtually everything apart from the league in the past 10 years - compare that to what the younger blues have had to endure.

Its as big as any cup on the play ground.

platini is making noises about a CL place for the FA cup winners, no mention of the league cup. isnt that interesting - even in europe amongst people the league cup doesnt effect the league cup is nothing.

i wonder if we were to make and lose the final if the FA could remove the uefa qualifying status of the competition if we were to lose to a side that qualified for europe on league merit.

I remember Man U winning the FA Cup against all the odds in the end. That sparked off a right run of trophies. I don't believe the top 4 will be the top 4 over the next ten years.

So we have chances to move up. Plus in 95, our side was pretty average in comparison. Now we have great players, a great manager, pretty decent atmosphere amongst all the players. Its really impressive, and there is only one man who has done this.

i disagree.

we are getting into choppy water now, i hope current/recent success has nothing to do with everton support at any age.

also, i dont give a flying toss about the inbreds, let them fester in their own sputum.

as things stand, i think our squad is over stretched, i said as much months ago and stand by it now - id rather the squad was protected and rested so as to be able to fight on the fronts i consider much much more important than the piss-pot cup.

I think after suits has pushed his posturing, scintilla of knowledge towards us, that we will have all realized the error of our ways. We shouldn't be celebrating that our team is winning games, but celebrating when we win the right games and lose the right games. We should never win any UEFA cup game or carling cup game on pain of death. Regardless of what the fans think.

We should only ever win in the league and forget about Moyes' tactics of improving our co-efficient in europe and garnering european practice and attracting a better calibre of players. Suits knows far more about managing a top flight football team than Moyes will ever know. Why the [Poor language removed] is this guy even managing our team, with his ridiculous qualifying for europe strategy and then winning all the group games bollocks. Honestly it makes my blood boil. Why does he keep winning games in these shitty competitions? I wrote him a letter demanding the champions league cup and the FA cup and all he could do was beat the teams we were scheduled to play, the ****.
