This is it. I see nothing wrong with coming off the bench for a 30 min cameo. And to me he is a perfect player to do that. What an option to bring off the bench to get some attacking umph in our team. Him over dcl every day of the week.
He will be a much better Valencia if he swallows the pride and accept that role. He is a game-changer, but until he works on his fitness, he isn't a starter.

I think thats the problem though mate, his pride tells him he is better than Messi and he should be first choice at Barca! If he worked as hard as Messi, Neymar and Suarez he would be on another plane entirely as a player!

Sadly, his inability to grasp that workrate is required from the best as well as the worst players, if not in tracking back then in creating space for others, is what will prevent him from realising his undoubted potential. It is a shame really, as that mentality will also prevent Ross from fulfilling his too!

Milan give up on Deulofeu

Milan have decided they won’t try to keep Gerard Deulofeu when his loan spell expires in June, so it’s between Barcelona and Everton.

The Spanish winger arrived in January and made an immediate impact, scoring four goals with three assists in 17 Serie A games.

He even earned a recall to the senior Spain squad and scored on his comeback appearance.

However, Deulofeu’s inconsistency emerged again in later weeks and La Gazzetta dello Sport claim Milan have no particular intention of trying to extend his stay at San Siro.

The 23-year-old is owned by Everton, but Barcelona have a €12m buy-back clause they could activate this summer.

Tickets for the Champions League final between Juventus and Real Madrid are still on sale with reseller Viagogo

On his way back?

Other reports suggest that his chances of a return to Barcelona are based on the thoughts of whoever their new manager/coach is.

I thought they'd take him back, becuase they could get him cheeaper than his market value, although they'd have to keep him for a year, be interesting to see if they want to do that.

No indication they must keep him for a year Ian.

I know Clownface mentioned it, but whos to say that that clause is still active in the final year, it may have only been in case of them doing it in years 1 and 2.

Time will tell. But if they don't have to keep him for a year and opt not to pay 12-million euro's for him (which seems cheap) then god knows what path his career is following.

If he does come back, it could possibly be the luckiest thing to happen in Koeman's managerial career. The lad is a superstar waiting to happen, and with the added European football available he'll get a chance to show it - or crash and burn totally. Either/or.

Cant see it Tubes. He clearly has more talent in his little toe than most mortals, but at 52, I reckon I have more stamina than the lad.

Would be delighted to be proved wrong mind.
