In all seriousness, I do think that it's probably a case of a team only being able to carry one passenger off the ball, and Koeman already having to accommodate Barkley and Lukaku in that regard.
Shame for me that my favourite of the three ended up being the one to get jettisoned.

Yeah, if he's on his game he's a class above anyone in the team, yet he's made to chase full backs up and down the pitch whilst Barkley and Lukaku are given reee reign to Sean around. Sadly I think we've blown it with Deulofeu and we'll come to regret it.

I only know what I see on the pitch, not the whole story. What's his attitude to training, mental state, ambition etc..., because when he's on fire he looks world class! Sadly, there's the other side to his game. Unfit, lazy, wasteful, which we see far too often.

Milan lucked out because he basically came on a free for half of the season. They probably don't think he provides enough impact and probably never planned on actually signing him. There is a good player in there, but he has plenty of work to do.

This is it. I see nothing wrong with coming off the bench for a 30 min cameo. And to me he is a perfect player to do that. What an option to bring off the bench to get some attacking umph in our team. Him over dcl every day of the week.
