I watched Milan vs Napoli on Saturday.Ye watched a bit of the Roma game last night and it wasnt slow at all, but then still got bored and turned it off
He is a talent that there is no doubt. But he has played for a number of managers in recent years and has been unable to nail down a starting berth in any of them. That should tell you something. Such a shame as talent wise he is right up there, but obviously lacks application and fitness to be a consistently good player. One of the two most gifted players in the Everton squad gone.
That's not something anyone should celebrate.
He is a very gifted player and hopefully Milan will use him often and allow his talent to bloom.

He's 22 and he's played for Everton, Seville and now AC Milan. Also, those players with bags of talent take their time to find maturity. They have WAY more going on decision making wise due to the vision they have and that can be their undoing. He is a talent that there is no doubt. I'd like to know why ours didn't persevere and try and get the talent out.I am very sorry to see him leave, he was my favourite player in the squad. I loved the way he played football.
However, he is at another crossroads in his career and he needs to start convincing managers at the top level of what he can offer.
Barca have let him go, Sevilla did not keep him and now Everton.
Italy will be an interesting challenge for him as defending is regarded as much as an art there as is attacking.
We all know that Geri and defending are a combination that so far have not mixed terribly well.
Either way, I wish him well. I genuinely hope he does well.
It;s not attitude it's decision making. He's 22. If you had his skill you'd need a bit of time to figure out what ball is best to play where and at what time, and when it's best to release/retain the ball. All the talent in the world doesn't matter one jot if you haven't got the attitude and fintess mate
Everyone starting now seems to have greatly increased their workrate and stamina - Deulofeu still looks goosed after a couple of sprints in a game
Don't know what the issue is, but never seen a footy player tire that fast at his age
Will boss it if he is in a dominant team in a league that he can get away with a few minutes running here and there and the rest coasting, but in a serious competitive league which is going more and more towards high workrate/pressure footy,. he's a fish out of water
Ha ha very unfunny!Personally would have loved to see him dominate in a Championship team. Then again the diving may be even less acceptable there. Could have seen him doing well at Newcastle if he did like 20% more stepovers/game.
I wonder about Dowell as well Dave. I would like to see him go out on loan and see how he does.I'd like to know why ours didn't persevere and try and get the talent out.
Will Dowell go a similar way because he needs work done on him that the coach and his staff dont have the expertise to bring out?
I do hope this doesn't turn into a bonfire of flair.
It's ALL confidence with that lad: call him out and try and humiliate him in public and he goes from bad to worse. Leave him be and play in a team that's getting more on the ball than they had been and he's a standout.I wonder about Dowell as well Dave. I would like to see him go out on loan and see how he does.
In preseason 15/16 I was hugely impressed with him , but not really in preseason 16/17 where he seemed very peripheral to the game.
We have seen with Barkley in the last couple of weeks how he has upped his game, defensively and offensively and I think this is the challenge Dowell faces and the challenge Geri failed to meet.
