There was nowt "mentally weak" or "tackle shy" about him that day nor was he he a "shrinking violet" as he almost single handedly turned the tide and dragged us back into that game.

Lad wouldn't have lasted a slong as he has done in a Kendall or Royle team mate, so all the talks about the glorious past etc means nowt, none of them would have stuck with a player with his 'temperment' and hystrionics and none of them would have played a player who can't last a half without being utterly shattered

Agreed mate - simply because he does not seem to have the capacity to put a shift in for 90 minutes. I think the issues is Geri himself has not got his head around that fact yet and isn't happy to play that role.


To be fair, that is greatly in his favour.

No player at the top level should aspire to be no more than an impact sub.

In the same way I never think I'll of a fellow whom shows his unhappiness at being subbed if he is not injured.
