The policeman involved, I saw the horrific clip, should have been arrested and charged with murder in my opinion.
But have also saw clips of people's shops and property been robbed and burnt, people who have had nothing to do with this, that's wrong and a blatant attempt by some people taking advantage of a tragedy. Condolences to the family over the murder of their son/ brother. This will not be solved by more violence from either side, only by talking and honestly acting over the decisions made.

And what do you do when the system is stacked against you and there is no one to talk to or act honestly? What do you do when you have a president who says 'when the looting starts, the shooting starts'? What do you do when years of injustice and racism are allowed to continue and your voice is unheard? Put your hand up and ask for a chat?

If you're a police officer and you are kneeling on someone's throat and neck, which leads to them to say they can't breathe, and you have three fellow officers with you, then get them to hold him down and step off his neck

The fact that didn't happen meant they failed him as law enforcers, and there should be legal ramifications for doing so beyond them just losing their jobs IMO

There is no point in talking if nobody is listening.

There shouldn't be "sides".

It doesn’t appear to be the case here (as Floyd was handcuffed so kneeling on his neck is as close to unjustifiable as possible), but saying there are four cops so they should be able to hold him down instead does sort of ignore the fact that holding him down with four cops on him puts him at an increased risk of death anyway (because of the restricted movement of his lungs combined with extra demand on them as he struggles, leading to fighting harder to try and breathe - which usually makes the cops thing they need to hold him down more, and so on until the person dies).

So just give up then ? You have to start somewhere, obviously in a Country with so many social and racial points, that's going to be very difficult, if not impossible, but you have to start somewhere.

No there shouldn't be sides your right, but there are.
So there is no point in talking then, what's your answer, do hope your not trying to point score.

There really aren’t sides, except those drawn up by the people who rely on a divided nation to stay in power.

The rioters here and the anti-lockdown protesters in Michigan mainly come from the same social class, have similar (though of differing scales) problems around jobs, healthcare, exploitation etc and yet have been told that each other are the reason why their lives are bad.

Meanwhile their “betters” rake all the money in.

But there are sides you can see that with the pitched battles going on but there should not be. Try i g standing g in the middle of them and telling them, their are no sides.
Also I know they are from different walks of life, most people do, this is ingrained sadly in American society. It has been intensified mightily by the ultra right wing idiot Trump, whose only answer to violence is more violence.
End of the day people have to talk and listen. It's a start, from a very low bar.

Those sides are like leavers vs remainers though; they are fake and must be rejected.

My point was that if they were afraid he was going to try and fight or make a break for it if he got off the neck, then there were other officers there who could prevent that in a safe manner so that the other one could safely remove his knee from the neck/throat

The fact that didn't even cross their mind is really troubling, which is a big reason of why they failed in their job

What are the sides though? Black vs White? I'm mixed race, what do I do?

What is there to talk about? "Please don't kill black people for no reason" The issues are well known. Sadly they will never be fixed fully.

Genuinely no idea what you mean by point score?
