It is a difficult situation for the police as well. I'm no fan of the police, but in a country where guns are so easy to come by and where they obviously aren't well trained, they must go into every day in a state of panic. That is not going to help.Well, that's the problem isn't it? They rarely do get prosecuted. And besides, prevention is what most people are looking for here. Better trained police who don't shoot first and ask questions later, it's not actually that big an ask.
America needs to remove guns and sort social injustice. Neither of which will happen any time soon.
