If it weren't for the reward, there is no way an employee who makes like $14/hour at McDonalds would have turned him in.
It was a customer who informed a staff member, giving he still had his bag on him. They could have worried the guy still was armed, which was the case.

People who knew him said he had a painful back injury and withdrew socially. Looks more to me as a vendetta then a fight against a system.

Blaming "violent video games" is just a convenient way to deflect from real issues. It’ll resurface during Trump’s presidency, especially with the release of GTA 6. Something happens, and instead of addressing the mental health crisis or lack of gun control, the blame gets shifted to the popular game every single 15-35-year-old male is playing.
