Don’t think he’s a self proclaimed socialist either. Could be wrong but he described himself as a social democrat which generally means in favour of a Nordic style mixed market model.(Who generally have the highest standards of living in the world)

Even if he was a self-proclaimed socialist, or even a self proclaimed communist it’s irrelevant imo. He’s living under free market capitalism and thereby has to live within that system, even if he’s advocating against it.

Besides socialism doesn’t equal “poor” regardless. If it did literally no one would want it.
