She's absolutely right though. Boebert won her race by about six votes. WTF kind of mandate from her voters does she think that is to hold the entire country hostage? McCarthy can't make the concessions that these lunatics want, and anyone who will give them what they are demanding isn't going to be able to garner enough votes to get elected either. Their margin is so slim that the handful of moderate Republicans who are left in the House aren't going to hand the speakership to someone that bows to the far right wing of the party.

terrible people like McCarthy are often stabbed in the back by worse people like Bobert.

This does not mean that an insurrectionist like McCarthy didn't deserve it.

Maybe I'm naive, but wouldn't it have made more sense for the Dems to back McCarthy to ensure he didn't concede power the the extreme side of his party? The Dems don't seem to have behaved much differently from the republicans from what I can see. Their refusal to applaud him for it is pretty much on them
