A race I'm worried about in Colorado: Hoping against hope that Bobo (the idiot Lauren Boebert) is not re-elected from our 3rd Congressional district....

Race I feel better about: that Yadira Caraveo wins our new congressional district, the 8th

Race I feel most confident about: that Michael Bennett holds his Senate seat.....

Yes. The urban and rural divide here is much the same as elsewhere.

Elections statewide are largely won or lost in the suburbs.

I have a colleague who we brought on board to open our office in Austin. He's a dutch guy who lives there for 10 years already but he's gone proper native. Anyway, he may be the most rightwing man in Austin.

On a teambuilding last year I asked him if he owned a big cowboy hat. He laughed. Then, as I got drunker, I asked him if he'd ever seen a gunfight. He told me that the "lamestream media" want to portray America as violent and it's all fake news and only "blacks and mexicans" shoot at each other. I said I meant like with cowboys and stuff. We shared a few minutes awkward silence and I went to talk to somebody else.

It's unconscionable that chick from the 3rd district can win election again.

Unconscionable

Unless the polls are substantially off (very possible), it looks like we're playing a game of "flip three coins, and whichever side gets at least two out of three" (PA, GA, NV) wins the Senate. The Republicans appear to be marginally favored because these are not 'fair' 50-50 coins. Instead, they're very slightly weighted.

The early voting turnout numbers look strong for the Democrats, but there's a whole host of reasons not to read too much into that one.

I wouldn't bet on knowing all that much before midnight Eastern, and we could be headed for another runoff in Georgia - which traditionally favors the Democrats. Nevada's reporting is screwy, so don't be surprised if we end the night with the result still up for grabs.

After all that we know from 2020, I don't understand why Democrats would continue to vote by mail. I voted today in person. And will always continue to do so.

See: these 3,000 ballots in the Philly area that are now in the courts. The GOP will do everything in their power (and even what's not in their power) to throw out ballots

I think it makes sense in states like Oregon and Arizona where they've been doing things that way for a long time, and the case law is very settled. Elsewhere, not so much.

I guess all Christians aren't crazy nationalists.
Fiery stuff out of Georgia here.
"I don't understand how you can call yourself christian and think this is OK?" Easy white evangelical christianity has always been a racist right wing political movement 1st and foremost. The christian stuff is the dog treat to get you to listen and/or the excuse to be a horrible person.

Blacks/jews are more religious and generally fine. Most urban Catholics are alright as well.

Same mate. Went after I dropped the kids at school. Wife did an early drop off absentee type deal but I was of the mindset "why give the scumbags half a chance to nullify your vote"
