Tough watch last night with Fetterman. Gotta admire him putting himself in the line of fire while recovering from a stroke.

This race wouldn't even be close if it weren't for that.

This is going to be very close now
I’m not super familiar with the lay of the land with regards to PA politics, but would some other hypothetical generic Democratic candidate have been able to beat Dr. Oz, or was Fetterman just that popular? Oz seems like an all time awful candidate, but may end up winning because Fetterman has been afflicted with health issues at the worst possible time.

watched parts of it. Uncomfortable to watch, took some guts to stand up there and argue his case!
Just hope Dems hammer Oz on saying abortion should be between a woman, her doctor and her local politician!

I'm debating with most of my friends on this very point right now. Fetterman trounced Conor Lamb in the primary, which was a little surprising b/c Lamb isn't necessarily unpopular. But Fetterman crushed him everywhere. PA was ready for a progressive candidate.

As one of my friends stated "Lamb is a walking picture of a McKinsey consultant's candidate, and i know his wife and like him personally"

Lamb is viewed as a moderate Democrat, and he is. He's won purple districts twice for the House the last couple of years. He's a veteran. And he's not as progressive as Fetterman.

If Fetterman didn't have a stroke, even though he is viewed as progressive, he has other qualities, especially against a guy like Oz (he's a true Pennsylvanian, he doesn't look like a politician, his street cred of fighting for what's right, etc, etc) that would have played all over PA and he trounces Oz. Easily.

The stroke now puts doubt into some Pennsylvanians. And post-stroke, we could Monday morning quarterback and say that, while Lamb wasn't the preferred candidate of the progressives, he's still much better than the alternative, if that alternative is Oz.

I think Lamb beats Oz easily as well. But here we are. Hoping to not steal defeat from the jaws of easy victory.

There are people who are for legalized abortion - they are all voting fetterman. There are people who want to outlaw abortion and voting for Oz.

There are people who are for legalized abortion but y'know a combo #1 at Chic-fil-a went up a $1 so they are voting for Oz

There are people who are for legalized abortion but "it'll never happen here" and are pissed at the price of a quarter pounder. They are voting for Oz.

There are people who just don't give a @#$% about abortion, but OMG the price of stuffing my face full of @#$$ is more expensive these days. They are voting for Oz.

Needless to say abortion isn't as big issue as we make it to be (even tho it should be).

I'm am not bullish on PA at all, can see a republican sweep as PA is on the verge of becoming Ohio but would happy to be wrong.

Dude

Shapiro is gonna win by 20 points. The GOP has cut Mastriano loose to the point they are focusing their efforts on running ads comparing Shapiro (not a "dangerous lefty") to Fetterman ("will let all the murderers out of prison to eat your babies")

And Fetterman would have won in a landslide without the stroke

Behave

If the turnout is good they'll be fine, I'm just not convinced it will be. Prob is I live way too close to York Co. and know people who live in Westmoreland and Washington Co to feel comfortable

Allegheny County and the Philly areas will blow it out of the water

I'm worried about Fetterman b/c of the stroke. Not worried about governor. At all
