The poor child, making her carry this pregnancy to term is further abuse

This story is going to draw a lot of attention (rightfully so) to her circumstances, but she hopefully will get someone to provide the resources to travel to a neighboring state if her family can't do so and avoid actually carry the baby to term. I think Ohio has so far enacted the strictest laws surrounding abortion, but fortunately it is geographically located such that it's not impossibly far to get to several states, or Canada if need be, where it can still be done safely and legally.

Same people who were screaming about body autonomy "my body, my choice" when there was talk of vaccine mandates are the same ones who are OK with this madness.
Everyone is a hypocrite.

The exact complaint can be made in reverse about everyone on right. Sadly everyone on both sides just herds into whatever suits them electorally.

I always thought Ohio was a swing state? I had just assumed it was only the dramatically red states that would have super majorities to pass such agendas?

But COVID vaccines weren’t simply a my body, my choice thing. Refusing to get vaccinated had knock on effects to everyone else in society either by increasing the likelihood that would transmit the disease to vulnerable people, or unnecessarily occupying medical resources that non-COVID patients badly needed. A woman getting an abortion doesn’t affect anyone but her.

It’s turned reliably red over the past decade or so unfortunately. It’s still more purple than the Deep South, but I can’t imagine there will be any state with a Republican Congress and governor than doesn’t ban abortion, and Ohio has both.

It is somewhat surprising that they’ve outdone even the Mississippi’s and Alabama’s of the world with the scope of their restrictions IMO.

There are Christian women around the country that are celebrating this ruling. The whole "committing" suicide thing is being way too sensationalized by left-wing Twitter accounts. Why do you make it seem as if this is an attack on women? If it is an attack on women, why are many women so happy with this? Let me tell you something, if men had to give birth instead of women, I would still be anti-abortion but of course you're going to put a misogynistic spin on this.

I support abortions in the cases to save the mothers life, that's a given. I would be a very bad human not to support it in those circumstances but that's where my support for the procedure ends. So you could stop your straw man arguments. I'm not against women getting abortions to save their lives, if the doctor says so, it has to be done. But thats the ONLY time abortion should be carried out, full stop.
Why do many poor people vote for parties which clearly favour rich people's interests?
Why do many gay people vote for and even join parties which are clearly against gay rights?

Because they've been brain washed. Just like you.
