This headline sounds like an article from The Onion, but apparently this is what actually happened. The police put all the fencing and barricades back up in DC, and then less than 100 people showed up. These people are so totally paranoid that they are afraid to turn up rallies they organize.

Every day's headlines look like The Onion, of late. I've heard it said that we live in a post-truth world. I would characterize it as more a post-sanity world, myself.

I mean, we have a 26-year old freshman Republican member of Congress who is in a wheelchair, signs shotguns, takes knives to school board meetings and is threatening to take up arms against his fellow citizens over "stolen elections". Pelosi has done 100% of nothing about this. Tip O'Neill would already have seen to a censure motion passing, and would probably be trying to twist arms to get to two-thirds to boot him back to North Carolina.

Hunter S. Thompson on acid couldn't write this stuff. I think God has given up on ordering the universe and has just decided to be a hack fiction writer instead.

What’s wild is that he’s not really even in the running for worst member of the House. I can think of at least two women right off the top of my head that are clearly worse.
