This never should have been used as a political ploy. If they had released the allegations earlier, I can guarantee that Kavanaugh wouldn’t have been considered for the position. They held onto her accusations until it was politically advantageous. This poor woman is really being thrown under the bus here.

I agree with you - it was a political ploy to bail him out of a spot of bother with the FBI question.

He did it well and it would have worked... if not for the fact every Republican was silent until that point. So instead it stuck out like a sore thumb.

I’m not sure how you could have done that whilst still respecting Dr Ford’s request for privacy.
