Rush Limbaugh's time slot to be filled by new show from Clay Travis and Buck Sexton

The company that syndicated Rush Limbaugh's program, Premiere Networks, announced Thursday that Clay Travis and Buck Sexton will launch a new three-hour show in his old time slot.

I don’t know anything about Buck Sexton, but sure don’t like that Clay Travis has been given such a prominent platform. If you’re not familiar with him, do a little reading. If the powers that be we’re looking for someone to absolutely hammer on about culture wars all day, every day, then they’ve found the right guy. He will basically do or say anything if it gets him either attention or money.
 
US politics is strange to me.

It always seems like when the republicans are in power all this crap gets pushed through at a good rate. When the Dems are in power it's filibuster filibuster filibuster. Why is it I only hear of this filibuster thing when the Dems hold all the power?

The filibuster is less important when the parties are sharing power across the different branches of government, as it’s essentially last ditch defending against the other party getting their agenda through. This past election is the first time in a long time that a single party has swept the Presidency, House and Senate.

To my knowledge, the only bills Republicans passed through traditional means were to two COVID stimulus packages last year, and obviously Democrats weren’t going to block those. Aside from that, all their “accomplishments” were achieved through means that a filibuster can’t block, or simply obstructing democrats. The Trump tax cuts were budget reconciliation, which only requires a simple majority. They used their Senate majority to steal a Supreme Court appointment from Obama, and then used it again three times during Trump’s term to install their own justices.

I don’t think it’s a point of pride. The implication here seems to be that somehow there is a parallel between unvaccinated people in post-COVID America and Jews in Nazi Germany. The comparison alone is reprehensible, and actually trying to make money off it is beyond disgusting.

He has a decent chance to win the nomination. Sex trafficking to own the libs is a party platform that the base really cares about.
