Honest to god f'ing crazy nonsense in this document. I pulled some quotes from it and then added in some graphics for context.

Wouldn’t be a surprise choice at all given the current climate and him also possibly holding an important state, but I suspect we’ll see about 10 front runners between now and primary time.

That’d be wild. He’s got the name but would he really want to step outside the studio walls when he can just stay there and keep getting rich? If I had to guess now I’d say it’ll end up being Haley as a counter to Harris being the presumptive Democrat nominee.
Perhaps not but he could make the same calculation Trump did in his bid - little downside as will generate a lot of publicity and he might just win anyway. His step mother is a heiress of the Swanson company so he isn’t short on money either.
Can’t see Haley myself, she doesn’t appear to excite the MAGA crowd.
Trump is bound to try to take down whoever is the putative frontrunner even if he doesn’t eventually run - if onky so he can lap up the attention.
And one of Jnr or Ivanka will presumably want to throw their hat in if daddy doesn’t run...

I’m surprised at Biden jumping in on the trial of the policeman accused of killing Floyd while the jury are deliberating. I know that some Dem rep woman has already done similar, but they are just giving the guy a get out of gaol (jail) free pass when he undoubtedly files for a mistrial/appeal or whatever you have in the USA......
The jury is sequestered, Pete.

Im kind of thinking, or hoping, that the republican party will by that time have grown up a bit and reverted back to what they were 10-15 years ago rather than pandering to the MAGA crowd. They have to see that staying that path means more and more defeats. Probably not though.

I admire your optimism. Unfortunately, right now their strategy seems to be doubling down on voter suppression in hopes of maintaining minority rule as opposed to adopting policies that might appeal to a majority.
The latest Frontline on PBS (released last week) is on the rise of the right-wing insurrection. Good stuff (and it follows up on the episodes on Charlottesville and Trump's legacy). No surprise to learn that when one of the most senior counter-terrorism officials tried to get the Trump administration to take notice of far-right would-be insurrectionists such as the Proud Boys and Boogaloo movement, they instead wanted to focus on BLM and Antifa. But only the former has an ideology of overthrowing the US government and also a growing record of cop-killing to substantiate that ideology. The threat of far right domestic extremisms has been a growing issue that preceded racist-Trump, but it was also exacerbated by his dogwhistles and racist rhetoric.
