Considering the majority of the committee in front of him are old angry self entitled white men he is in a good place. They have already made up their mind too.
His approach kind of seems unnecessary a better approach would have to kept calm and say little
"We should pray for the woman."

It's amazing - he feels sadness only for the impact on his own career and, by proxy, his family.
He didn't shed that little tear when talking about a woman being sexually assaulted. That didn't bother him.
Today has been a masterclass in what's credible and what isn't. Kavanaugh simply isn't credible.
That said... I'm still not 100% sure the burden of proof has been met to bar him from the job. Not yet. That said, surely he merits further investigation by the FBI now and other complainants should be heard.
