Newsom said a key reason for being able to share to the Strategic National Stockpile is because California went from having 7,500 ventilators to having more than 11,000, thanks to an aggressive campaign of procuring them. Hundreds more ventilators also keep coming into California. Newsom said 500 are expected to come in on Tuesday.

Pretty nice story involving my local congressman. Haven’t been his biggest fan since the Republican Congressional primary a couple years ago where he and another candidate basically tried to out-MAGA each other, but I’ve met him several times and he’s really is a decent, down to earth guy. Glad to see him getting some good press.

Not really politics related, but guys, spare a thought for everyone across the American south this evening. Massive tornado outbreak tonight including one that just tore through parts of Mississippi that several people have described as potentially the most catastrophic one they’ve ever tracked. I’ve fortunately never experienced one first hand, but I’ve been in and around the aftermath, and their destructive force is terrifying.

One always hears that Justice Roberts is deeply concerned that the SCOTUS will lose its reputation of impartiality and be seen as a partisan political body. It's like the poor naif's never heard of the 2000 election.
You’d think even in a protest you would let ambulances through.
The irony is lost.
They want the stay home order removed but they obviously see the danger or threat of being in groups. Otherwise they would have properly defied with a traditional protest.
There were quite a few who got out of their cars.
Seems like more protests are likely.
