He is. His parents fled Hungary before he was born. He was born in England and raised there. He went to school and even joined the TA.

That really sucks. Sorry to hear mate.I just found out about the death of a man I've known casually for more than a decade in Democratic circles here in San Antonio. I had not spoken with him in a couple of years now but another acquaintance let me know she saw him a couple of weeks ago. He didn't look well and told her he wouldn't see the doctor because he could not afford treatments.
He was an engineer by trade who had difficulty staying employed due to absences for health reasons (his deceased wife's and his own) so he had difficulty finding affordable insurance. He was 59 years old.
I've often wondered about this more generally: police officers under pressure from city officials (or from police chiefs) to downgrade crime reports so as to maintain a seemingly less-crime narrative for a given town/neighborhood.
