Out of curiosity, I quickly compiled some votes for Texas elections. O'Rourke gained more votes than Obama and Clinton. Trump gained more votes than Romney, Cruz, and McCain. Interesting that more Dems turned out for this mid-term election than 3 prior presidential elections.

Also, here's a prediction for 2020: If O'Rourke and Booker were on the same Democratic ticket (perhaps as VP and P, or vice versa), they would CRUSH Trump.

Thx - not sure he'll lose the race, but it would be amazingly sweet if a recount came into play and he lost.

Unlikely to be a recount. A runoff is a possibility though.

Notoriously difficult to get some typcial Dem supporters, especially the young, to vote in midterms - haven’t seen any reliable breakdowns yet but been a hell of a turnout.
