We gained a ton of seats. And house control. Not sure what people expected, the senate wasn’t realistic given what was up this election

He will spin it otherwise of course, but this is a bad night for Trump.

There is now a branch if American government with oversite and which has tge power to subpoena documents and witnesses and if the Mueller investigation looks bad for him, impeachment is now much greater possibility.

Impeachment won't matter. Senate won't confirm just like Clinton.

Honestly think it would be worse because the Trumpers would go nuts and it would get dangerous.

I would like to reference Joe Biden who said if the vote doesn't go well for Trump, he will cite voter fraud.

Also, Trump getting in the pre-election blaming having a go at Paul Ryan. Good stuff.

Yea, I'm not unhappy with it. I was actually expecting a bloodbath in the senate. But there are worrying signs for 2020. Florida has gotten redder, and Ohio isn't really a swing state anymore.

On the flip side, Dems doing well in Iowa, Colorado and PA.

maryland - we have libraries that actually have books from this decade, public services, well maintained roads, affordable state colleges, a DMV that you usually only have to wait 30-60min in and everything. Its crazy here.
I don't know about that but the rest is true and generally Maryland is a nice place to live. Although Baltimore is still a mess that seems unfixable. My parents don't like it cause the tax money goes to people who don't pay as much in taxes. They never have a good answer on where it should go but whatever.

Although he lost tonight, narrowly, I think Beto O’Rourke has moved to the top of the Democrat contenders for The Oval in 2020.
Those outside of Texas may not fully appreciate what Beto did. A generic Republican beats a generic Democrat in the state of Texas by 10-15%. In a reasonably good economy and low unemployment, it should be 13-20%.

I'm exhausted from working my tail off for him and could not be more proud.

I’m expecting the talk of Sherrod Brown as a potential 2020 candidate to increase....a good chance at Ohio’s 18 electoral votes is a very persuasive card to bring to the table given Trump won the state by 8 points.

Beto, Gillum and (probably) Abrams losing is so disappointing.

Abrams particularly sticks in the throat considering all the reprehensible stuff Kemp has done. Given that the margin is so small, genuinely not unreasonable to say he stole that election.
