Come on Andy, you're better than that.

Dave, if I've genuinely offended you, I apologise... however, you and your endless negativity are extremely trying.

I suggested to you over a week ago that you desist banging on and on about the stadium being a non-entity, but you've chosen to carry on and on and on.

I am very confident that tonight will see all or the lions share of your negativity well and truly dispensed with.

Matchday revenue was £17.2m for 2016-17.

The figure has gone down from £20.6m in 2014-15 - because the club are committed to junior prices.

Average revenue per seat has gone from £23 in 2015-16 to £21 in 2016-17.

'We will have to monitor wages'
Total revenue was £171.3m in 2016-17. Was £121.6m in 2015-16.

Total wages was £104.7m for 2016-17. Was £84m in 2015-16.

It’s something we’ll have to monitor carefully says Mr Elstone. But it’s not out of kilter with the rest of the Premier League.

Other costs include changing managers and backroom teams.

Plus the stadium project which is not yet capitalised.

Robert Elstone demonstrates how, over the past seven transfer windows, Everton have spent twice as much on player recruitment as has been recouped through player sales. "Significant investment in the playing side," says the CEO.
